The Paraguayan Climate

Climate diagram of Asuncion

The Paraguayan climate is subtropical and with more than 300 sunny days a year, which can be compared to the climate in California or Florida. During the winter on the northern hemisphere from December till March is summer in Paraguay, but the change of season is not that noticeable. The rainy seasons of the year are in January and October.
The period from May through August is the dry and cold time. This time often seems to be even colder, because almost nobody heats his house. So the people are constantly exposed to the cold temperature. The average temperature of the year is about 22° C. In winter it is about 14° C and in summer about 32° C.
