Voluntary services

Every year we welcome volunteers from different countries of the world, who want to support us in Centro Educativo Nandejara. They help us at the school in academic activities or offer special services. Every volunteer receives free board and lodging and is in exchange for that asked to integrate himself during his stay and to get intensively involved in our work.
Over years now we can look back on the teamwork with many volunteers from different nations as e.g. Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Argentina, Canada, the USA, etc.

(For potential volunteers)
We at Centro Educativo Nandejara want to take part in changing this country in a positive way. In order to do so we want to be a support for children and adolescents during their schooldays and in life as well as spiritual succor. For many years we have been accepting many volunteers that have the same ambitions and are open for the christian believes.
The only obligations are that the candidate has to be at least 18 years old and wants to stay for at least 6 month.
Board and lodging will be provided by the Educational Center but indirect expenses as the air fare etc. must the volunteer afford himself. For all problems or questions that may occur during the stay there will be a competent contact person in Paraguay.

Field of activities
In our Educational Center there is much different work to do and every helping hand is a true enrichment and blessing to us. Many gifts can be of use for example in our school in the subjects English and German as a foreign language. Volunteers also can help in the day-care center, the kindergarten, and in preschool in many different ways.
Of course there is also the possibility to bring in technical abilities as for example in maintenance, EDV or in administration. There also is some agricultural work, as to take care of the livestock and to work on the land.

Agreements
The voluntary service is a service without financial reward nevertheless we at Centro Educativo Nandejara insist on written agreements with the volunteer. (Which you can find under “Agreements”)
The intention of these agreements is to have to foundation for a successful service at Centro Educativo Nandejara in accordance with the volunteer’s special services and abilities. At the end of his or her stay the volunteer should be able to say, “It was a great time and it meet my expectations!” or even better “It surpassed them!”.
